YAW 300B Microcomputer Control Pressure Testing Machine

Overview

The YAW-300B is a microcomputer control pressure testing machine with a maximum test force of 300 kN. It is mainly used for the flexural strength test of concrete specimens and the compressive strength test of building materials such as cement, concrete and red brick. The machine adopts hydraulic loading and electronic force measurement and provides load digital display, loading-rate display, maximum-load hold, overload protection and power-off data hold.

The YAW-300B is the smaller, computer-controlled companion to the YES-2000. It combines compression testing with the anti-bending (flexural) fixture used on cement and mortar prisms, so one frame can perform the standard cement mortar flexural and compression tests that are required in a cement or concrete laboratory.

Microcomputer control and test functions

The YAW-300B applies load hydraulically and measures force electronically under microcomputer control, so the loading rate is held steady and the peak force is captured automatically by the maximum-load hold function. The relative error of force indication is within +/-1 % and the usable range is 4 % to 100 % of full scale. Overload protection and power-off data hold protect the machine and preserve the result, which makes routine cube and prism testing simple to repeat.

Flexural and compression testing in one frame

The machine carries the anti-bending fixture used for the flexural (bending) test of cement and mortar prisms: the anti-breaking stick diameter is O30 mm, the centre distance between the upper and lower anti-bending sticks is 165 mm, the centre distance between the two upper anti-folding rollers is 150 mm and between the two anti-folding rollers is 450 mm. For compression testing the pressure plate is O155 mm and the maximum distance between the upper and lower platens is 230 mm, with a O130 mm piston and 80 mm maximum stroke. One frame therefore performs the standard flexural-then-compression sequence required by cement and concrete test methods.

Applications

The YAW-300B is used in cement plants, concrete batching plants, mortar and dry-mix producers, construction quality-control laboratories, inspection bodies and university civil-engineering laboratories. It is normally placed on a 12-month calibration cycle, with certificates traceable to national force standards, because the result is used for acceptance of cement and concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the YAW-300B used for?
It is a 300 kN microcomputer control pressure testing machine used for the flexural strength test of concrete specimens and the compressive strength test of building materials such as cement, concrete and red brick.

What force range and accuracy does the YAW-300B provide?
The maximum test force is 300 kN, the usable force range is 4 % to 100 % of full scale, and the relative error of force indication is within +/-1 %.

Does the YAW-300B do flexural testing as well as compression?
Yes. It carries the anti-bending fixture for flexural testing of cement and mortar prisms and the platens for compression testing, so one frame can run the standard flexural-then-compression sequence used for cement and concrete.

What is the hydraulic pump pressure of the YAW-300B?
The hydraulic pump rated pressure is 25 MPa, and the machine uses a 0.75 kW motor with hydraulic loading and electronic force measurement.

How is the YAW-300B kept accurate?
Like other testing machines it is normally calibrated every 12 months, with certificates traceable to national force standards, so the indicated force stays within the stated accuracy when it is used for acceptance testing.

About CHENJI & Support

CHENJI is the brand of Jinan Chenji International Trade Co., Ltd. (Shandong, China), a manufacturer and exporter of material testing machines since 2014, with in-house quality control plus third-party inspection by SGS or Bureau Veritas. The company holds ISO 9001 certification (626024QH073R1) and is a Bureau Veritas audited supplier (MIC-ASR2451820). Testing machines are normally supplied with a calibration certificate valid for 12 months and traceable to national force standards, and our engineers help you select the machine, fixtures and accessories for your specimen and method.

Every quotation is prepared against the standard you test to, so the delivered machine matches the test method rather than only the headline capacity. Spare parts, consumables and calibration support are available after delivery, and machines can be produced to OEM or ODM requirements when a customer drawing or specification is provided.

Selecting and Verifying a Testing Machine

Choosing a machine is a matter of matching capacity to the specimen and the method, not of buying the largest frame. A 1000 kN machine is not suitable for a sample that needs 1 N of force; capacity selection follows the specimen and the standard, and the force measuring system should be verified per ISO 7500-1 or ASTM E4 on a regular schedule. Load cells are commonly supplied as class 0.5 or class 1, which means the indicated force stays within ±0.5% or ±1% of the true force.

Test results are only comparable when they are quoted together with the standard, the specimen geometry, the test speed and the force measurement class. We are glad to review your test method and specimen so that the machine, fixtures and accessories are correctly specified before you order.
